In 1921 a young Thomas Zimmerman Sr. came to Allentown to
learn the plumbing trade. Within a few years' time not only had Tom acquired his
license, but also he bought Allentown Plumbing & Heating from his teacher and
mentor. So in 1924 with a hand pushed wagon full of plumbing tools and a four digit
phone number a family business and legacy were born and is proudly still functioning
today. In the nineteen sixties the business was taken over by Tom’s son, Thomas
Jr., who is still active in the company as President today.
In 1994 Allentown Plumbing & Heating became a corporation.
Now eighty-four years later time and technology may have changed the way business is
conducted. But here at Allentown Plumbing & Heating we continue to serve the Lehigh
Valley with the same old time work ethic, character and integrity that has built and
maintained this company through the years.
It is our belief that the same honesty, integrity and hard work
that our founder used to start and grow this company should be the same values and
ethics we follow today. Even though the times have changed these basic principles
are still what we follow today.
At Allentown Plumbing & Heating Co. we know that our valuable
customers are the reason we are here and not the other way around. That is why we plan
to do everything possible to insure that our customers are 100% satisfied with any job
that is done, whether it is a simple faucet repair to the most complex commercial job.
